Stopping temporarily
Hi guys,
sorry for not writing in such a long time. It's been really hectic around here. Not only I didn't have time to write but I also didn't get any time to take pictures. This is why I decided that until I will have time to properly look after this blog I will stop posting. I don't know how long that will be. Could be a week, could be a few months. It's all relative at the moment. If you did enjoy my posting and want to read more once I will start it again you can subscribe to receive an email notification about it. I surely don't want to lose any of the readers so please do subscribe and you'll be able to know when I'm back again Until then I will post as many pictures as possible from Brugge. It's such a fantastic city. It's like an architectural paradise! I fell in love with it so i hope you'll enjoy the pictures.
On a different subject I saw this interesting game of words and I thought of posting it here. It was written in very big letters on a church: GODISNOWHERE. what do you see? now read it again! Cool, isn't it?
To change the subject again, today i went to Thorpe Park. It's the coolest fun park i've ever been on. So if you're in UK do go there! And don't forget to try the "Stealth"! It's the coolest ride ever!!!!! It's 61m high and it goes from 0 to 120km/h in 2 seconds. It's breath taking!!
Well guys until next posting enjoy yourselves and take care!

Happy Easter!
Hey everybody! I wanted to wish a "Happy Easter" to all of you who celebrate it! I hope you have a great time with your friends and family!
The picture for today was taken in Brussels with the thought to post it for Easter so here you have it!! Looks yummy doesn't it?
Thinking about it now, I had the idea to post a picture about a Romanian tradition we have for Easter. I think it's such a nice one that I had to talk about it. In the villages of Romania people dye eggs for Easter as in many other parts but they have a special technique for it and what you see in the picture is what comes out of it. They are all hand made and I think it's such a hard work that you almost feel guilty eating them
Anyways... if you do celebrate Easter, please don't forget to take some time and think about the religious significance of these days. I know that with all the nice food, friends and family around we sometimes tend to forget what Easter really means! I just thought to post this as a reminder

London!
So I didn't updated my fp in some time but i've been really busy with visiting Brussels and now going to London. These are my first days in London and I like it so far. It looks great and I love being in such a big lively city! I didn't have time to do a lot of visiting but I did meet my friend Chip yesterday and we had a quick tour. I know that he's gonna hate me for posting this but I really liked this picture that I took of him in the Trafalgar Square. I also took some quick symbolic pictures of London to post them on my fp for the time being. Coming here I found out that I can't charge my photo camera in UK cause of the different electricity system. I didn't figure out yet what i'm going to do but i guess I'll just enjoy the power left in my camera.
I still have a lot of pictures from Brussels and my quick visit to Brugge that I want to post. Those are coming soon. I also have a lot of things that I want to share with you but I guess I'll take it one at a time. So for now I hope you enjoy the pictures from London. I know they are not great or anything but to me they mean a lot because these are pictures that usually you see in papers and stuff but this time I took them cause I am here and it that's exciting

* listening to: Chris Issak "Wicked Game" (i can't believe that I didn't talk about Chris Isaak on my fp so far. He has one of my favorite voices. Somehow I forgot to mention his music so far)

Maastricht
Today i wanted to post some pictures from Maastricht since it is a city where i've spent spent some time and it will always be a special place for me. The pictures are not that great but they are typical Maastricht. I've had a great time there this week-end. I've been going shopping and spent some quality girl time with my friend, Nina. As Nina and I always do, we went to see one of those romantic Hollywood crap movies that we love so much. We've seen "Music and Lyrics" which actually is a nice movie. I loved it Romantic and relaxing at the same time I recommend it!
On a different subject I received this interesting video by email from a friend and because i wanted to share it with you I've searched it on youtube and luckily I've found it. So you can watch it HERE. It's a Dove short film about appearances and media made beauty. I've found it interesting so wanted to share it. While searching for this one I've found a second movie made by Dove and I liked that one as well. You can see the second one HERE.

*listening to: Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore "Way back into love" it's a really cute song (all the soundtrack of "Music and Lyrics" is nice and fun. I've been listening on and on to "Buddha's Delight" cause it's such a funny song after seeing the movie)

back again!!
Long time no post!!!
Now i'm back although I didn't take any new pictures yet. The crazily busy period has passed and now I have more time for myself. Nothing new from my part I guess except that I've decided to do a spur of the moment thing this morning and cut my hair. well not me personally but I'm lucky to live in a house with a guy who worked as a hair and make-up artist besides being a fashion photographer. Too bad I can't seem to get a lot of photography advice from him but it is still interesting to talk to him about it and he was happy to help me with my hair craziness today. I just decided on the moment to cut my hair much shorter and i don't know if it makes sense but I feel liberated somehow. These days mark the start of a new period for me and i hope i will make the best out of it!
New haircut, new attitude, soon new city and I'm ready to live out my declaration of independence!!!
The pictures for today were taken on an island in Korea. My dad heard about this nice place to see the sunset and we went there one day. To get these pictures we took advantage of the tide and climbed some rocks that were further in the sea. I was actually surprised by my dad cause he's usually extra safe around me but he agreed to do this even if the rocks were very slippery and rather difficult to climb. I guess he's more cool than i thought he is.

B&W
So today i thought to post some of my B&W pictures from Korea. The one with the boat was taken in the fisherman's wharf in Mokpo and the one with the trees is processed but i liked the final result.
As for me...I'm still getting used to Belgium for now. I've always praised Brussels in my posts, saying it is one of my fav. cities and everything. Now that i spend more time here and I don't just roam around the center, I have to admit that I've changed my opinion a bit. I still think it is a nice city, but it's also incredibly dirty. I wouldn't exaggerate I think if i would say that it's as dirty as Bucharest (and that's a bad thing). Anyways...I still love the center of the city and the architecture in the old part.

back to Europe
So I've arrived in Brussels last night. It's so weird being here (Europe) again. Somehow it feels like I've never left. You don't realize how different Asia is from Europe until you're back on the old continent. That doesn't mean I didn't enjoy Korea! It's been my home for 3 months and I had a great time. Believe it or not, it was hard to leave Korea. In the same time I can't wait to eat some cheese and go around Brussels again. It is one of my favorite cities so I'm happy to be here. I'll definitely take some pictures of it (when it will stop raining), but for now I still have all these pictures left from Korea that i want to share with you, so there will be a few more posts about it.
Due to personal reasons I decided not to take my new camera with me, so I have an older Cannon for now. It's a point and shoot camera, 3 MP but it still takes nice pictures and i'm happy to have it since it came as a last minute solution to not taking my beautiful baby which i definitely will miss.
---------------------
*listening to: well...THIS. It reminds me of Korea since we used to listen to it a lot while driving around with my parents. Yeah I have a cool dad- he listens to new music. Disregard the video if you decide to view the link, cause it's crap.

1st of March
Couldn't let this day pass without talking about my favorite Romanian tradition. Today is first of March and in Romania we say that it's the first day of spring and we have this lovely tradition of giving eachother (especially to girls) a symbol of spring, which is called "Martisor".
I liked this day a lot when i was in Romania cause you really can feel the spring coming, everybody is happy, they are being nice and giving each other flowers and this symbol(martisor). Girls usually wear it pinned to their jacket on the left collar and there's a contest of who gets more of the "martisor" cause that means they're more popular with the guys. When i was in school, once we received one we would pin it up to the jacket so we would show how popular we are. By the end of the day we would have our jacket full of them. It was great fun and I really like this day even now so i wanted to share it with you guys.
Have a happy 1st of March and enjoy the spring!

Lovely Korea
today i've thought to post some pictures that are so typical Korean. The first one is my favorite for this theme since the body language of the couple is such a typical Korean lovey dovey way of behaving. so far yet close. You kind of don't see more than that on the streets. There's no holding hands or kissing in public, which is rather strange for a country that has so many love motels (or maybe that's exactly the point...).
Everybody who knows me is aware that i do tend to look at dramas and telenovelas and such stupid programs and Korea wasn't an exception. So I looked at a few of them, even if i don't really understand anything (i make up my own story line and dialogue, which is the most fun ) and i was so surprised that there is no kissing or anything even in those programs. The hight of the passion in their dramas is a hug. So I started wondering about the gap between the Confucian morals they promote in the society and what is done behind close doors. It's a rather different and interesting approach compared to the Western way of doing things (well not in all aspects but at least when it comes to love).
The point is...that i don't really have a point...it's just an observation that i wanted to share with you!

More snow
I've thought to continue with the pictures of the snowy day. The first one is taken in the park right next to where i live. It was a nice day and although it was cold the sun was shining, which made it a nice walk.
